Tomorrow is Election Day, and I am asking each of you to truly consider the stakes for people like me before you cast your vote.
I was born intersex, have XX chromosomes, and was raised and have lived my entire life as a female. Unfortunately, my body relies on female hormone replacement therapy to keep me alive. Without this medication, I’ve been told by doctors, my life would be at grave risk. Unfortunately, those led by Trump and his supporters, aim to make it nearly impossible for people like me to access the hormones we need to survive.
This election, I’m voting for Kamala Harris, and I urge you to do the same. If you are still planning to vote for Trump, please understand that by doing so, you are making it harder for people like me to access life-saving medication—and you are putting my health, my well-being, and my life in jeopardy. This isn’t just politics for me; it’s personal survival. Please, vote with compassion.
Compassion is an extremely important thing to consider when voting and it’s why I’m proud to say that, thanks to early voting, I’ve already voted for Harris. I’m also urging everyone else to do the same.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
