I agree but there is a difference between a critic and honesty and straight out looking down on people. We must know those lines because one wrong word can break a person or either make them.
When there are people who give advice or criticize, be grateful because that is a sign they still care about you. Whatever the motive for the advice or criticism, maintain a humble attitude and respect the way they think of you.
Very bitter sweet, I agree. Sometimes being lectured or advised from someone to do something differently can feel patronizing. However, it can also help you get an outsider’s perspective on yourself and where you could improve. Positive change is a good thing.
I wouldn’t agree more, when you are honest with people in respect to an issue, they feel hurt. People should learn to accept issues as they are and make necessary changes if needed to.
Honest advice for me are the best advice. They may not the words we like to hear but they are the words that will help us be better.

The truth hurts. That how it should be. We need to accept what is true because that is the consequence of our actions in the past.

It is true when they tell us the truth to our own face it also hurts us, because it is sometimes difficult to face reality.
