For the 2024 Rutland Vermont Pride Event, I’ve put together an outfit that truly reflects my spirit and pride. Here’s a detailed description of each item I’ve chosen to wear. I have linked to where these items can be purchased; I am not currently an affiliate and as such, I am not earning a commission from referrals.
- Purple V-Neck T-shirt (Amazon):
This deep, rich purple T-shirt is one of my favorites. The color symbolizes spirit and pride, which feels perfect for this event. The V-neck adds a touch of femininity and elegance, making it comfortable and stylish for a day of celebration. - Pink Pleated Skirt (Target):
I adore this soft, pastel pink skirt with its lovely pleats. The pink color speaks to love, compassion, and femininity, adding a delicate and joyful touch to my ensemble. It flows beautifully, making me feel graceful and festive. - [Custom] Black Converse Sneakers With Rainbow Accents (Converse):
My classic black high-top Converse sneakers have been customized with bold rainbow designs, including a striking rainbow stripe on the side and rainbow-colored stitching. The left shoe proudly displays “She/Her,” my preferred pronouns. These shoes are not just practical for walking around during the event but also make a powerful statement of identity and support for the LGBTQ+ community. - Lesbian Pride Beaded Bracelet (Amazon):
This bracelet is lesbian-themed, featuring red and white beads that incorporate the colors of the lesbian pride flag. It adds a pop of color and a touch of personal flair to my outfit, symbolizing my identity and pride. - Heart-Shaped Earrings (Amazon):
These adorable heart-shaped earrings add a playful and affectionate element to my look. They perfectly complement the rest of my accessories and add just the right amount of sparkle. - Thin Brown Headband (Amazon):
My brown headband is both practical and fashionable, helping to keep my hair in place while adding a subtle touch of style. Its understated color ensures it doesn’t overshadow the more vibrant elements of my outfit. - Essie Nail Polish—Butler Please (Amazon):
I’ve chosen Essie’s Butler Please nail polish for the day. This vibrant blue color is not only my favorite, but is stunning and also incorporates the colors of the lesbian pride flag. It adds a bold contrast to the rest of my outfit and makes me feel extra confident.
This outfit is a wonderful reflection of who I am and my commitment to celebrating and supporting the LGBTQ+ community. The combination of colors, the thoughtful customization of my sneakers, and the mix of practical and stylish accessories all come together to create an ensemble that is both expressive and functional, perfect for the joyous and vibrant atmosphere of a Pride event.
This summer, I’m cranking it up to 11. Happy Pride!
That’s a fantastic outfit that’s meaningful, stylish, and practical. Since Pride is held at the height of summer it also looks cool, in every sense.
Wow! Just wow! I really appreciate your feedback and input, Christopher! Tomorrow is my very first Pride event. The first price event I attended was as at age 18 when I was in college, but I don’t count that one because it was shut down by the university during the first five minutes. I’m hoping that this one will be more memorable.
