During a leisurely drive, Amelia and I stumbled upon an old farm where vintage motorhomes stood silently in the fields. Intrigued, I pulled over our Ford truck to take some photos from the roadside. Almost immediately, the property owner drove up, curious about my intentions. I showed him my Leica Q3 and explained that I had a passion for photographing old objects. Anticipating a potential conflict, I was pleasantly surprised when he graciously offered us access to his property for a closer look at the old vehicles. Grateful, I took my photos from the road, handed him our stickers, and thanked him for his kindness.

Oh, I love old motorhomes. I think it goes back to when I was a kid and read a series of books called The Three Investigators. Their headquarters was one of the boy’s family’s junkyard and their motorhome/office was hidden under a pile of junk! Maybe it’s also my obsession with tiny houses…
Amelia used to RV full-time, and as such, she has an impressive knowledge of old-school motorhomes. Also, when I first considered moving to Vermont, my original plan was to buy some land and build a tiny house on it. That was until I found the farm that Amelia and I now own. 🙂
